Hat Pins
NOTE: These particular hat pins have been discontinued. We do have others. Please email for more information.
Hat pins were worn from about 1850-1930, and as the size and style of hat changed, so did the number of hat pins the ladies wore. The purpose of the hat pin was to defy the whim of the wind and keep the hat securely fastened to the wearer's head by pinning through the hair. But as with so many things, more than one use was found for the hat pin. Laws were passed concerning these "lethal weapons". If a "lady" needed protection, nothing better than her hat pin!
These pins are extra long for the most sophisticated hat or hair styles. The hat pins come in assorted colors. We will try to match your color preference, but each hat pin is unique in color and design. These pins measure approximately 8 inches long.
